You can follow the progress of your workplace complaint online.
To use Online Status Tracking, you must have already lodged your complaint with the Fair Work Ombudsman online.
How online Complaint Status Tracking works
- Log in to your account with your username and password
- Select ‘click here to view the status of your complaint(s)’
Lodged more than one workplace complaint? You can check other complaints by selecting ‘complaint reference number’ from the drop down list.
There are six stages in the complaints process:
- complaint submitted
- screening
- self resolution
- investigation
- decision made
- complaint finalised
The time each stage takes to finish can depend on things like:
- how difficult your matter is
- whether the parties involved are cooperating
- how workplace laws apply to your situation.
Check which stage your complaint is in:
- stages coloured green are finished
- stages coloured yellow are in progress
For more information about each stage, scroll over the stage or title and an information box will further explain the process for that stage.
Contact your Fair Work Inspector if you have a question about your complaint. The details of your Fair Work Inspector will be provided to you once your complaint has been received.
