Public notice – call for submissions
The Fair Work Ombudsman is reviewing community based employment advice services and is calling for submissions from any interested person or organisation.
In particular it is hoped that submissions will be received from:
- community based employment advice services
- organisations that represent people who use such services
- organisations that interact with these services, such as trade unions, employer organisations, advocacy groups and commercial organisations such as law firms.
The review will examine the need for and provision of community based employment advice services in the context of the establishment of Fair Work Australia and the Fair Work Ombudsman. The review is being conducted against the background of the Federal Government’s belief that such services have an important role to play in the community.
Submissions must be received in the required format by 16 September 2009.
The final report is to be provided to the Fair Work Ombudsman by 30 September 2009.
